Dear BU community and friends!

We hope you’re all well and managing to survive without missing frisbee too much.

While much of the country is opening up, we will be following official UKU guidelines on Covid-19 (below) and will not be starting training again for the foreseeable future. All UKU events have been cancelled up through August, Nationals is still on the schedule but subject to change. We will keep you updated on changing guidance and when we can start playing once again!

In the meantime, here are a few things we recommend to keep your spirits up and scratch your ultimate itch. Stay active with some bedroom workouts (see the WhatsApp Group for inspiration), running, cycling or sea swimming. Or you could refine your ultimate skills with some housemate throwing or watching some of these classic games. Keep in touch with your teammates for ideas, banter and inspiration through our WhatsApp group and Facebook group.

We have some exciting things coming up including some Online Socials and Fundraising events that will bring us together over an ultimate-less summer. If you have been having success with other activities that you think would suit the Brighton community, do let us know and keep a keen eye out for more updates from us coming soon on email and our Facebook page!

Black Lives Matter:

Brighton Ultimate is partnering with Deep Space and over 40 clubs across the UK to raise money for organisations addressing racial inequality here in the UK as a community. From the 9th of July to the 9th of August, we will be sending out fundraising forms and running charity social events for those who are comfortable and willing to support these initiatives. We are planning activities for every Monday @ 7:30pm starting with a Charity Quiz next Monday! To stay up to date, make sure you’re following Brighton Ultimate on Facebook

If you have any questions, ideas, or would like to lend a helping hand in this please do let us know!
