Mixed Tour 1 2008

On the weekend of the 7th and 8th June 2008, the City of Brighton & Hove played hosted to a national Ultimate Frisbee tournament – Mixed Tour 1. The tournament took place on the playing fields at Waterhall, on the outskirts of Brighton. It marked the first time that the sport has been played on such a massive scale in the city and saw over 30 teams and 500 players from across Britain (and indeed Europe) coming to play this unique sport!

Brighton Ultimate had two teams in the tournament, and they fought well through the weekend to achieve the positions of 2nd and 8th – superb results for a tournament of 40 teams.

Mixed Tour 1 is the first of a series of three Mixed Tour events spread around the country, the next being held in Burton-on-Trent on 28/29 June. At the end of the season the results are tallied and the Mixed Tour Champions are crowned.
